Hi guys,

I don't normal post outside the AvP sub board but with a recent update which talks about Sharing mechanics rule wise I thought I'd post.

I'm rubbish at rules to be honest the simpler the better for me, I hate anything that starts turning onto a Maths problem before you start rolling dice. But I'm willing to learn and practice. My background is in things like Warhammer, Zombicide and X-Wing so in comparison how easy are the Warzone rules to learn and play?

Better to ask players for an honest opinion.
Thanks

Well, its hard to say.
How difficult you found Warhammer? It is not more complicted, but the rules now are still suffering unclear problems. In general you have to remember more things than in Warhammer - there is lot of actions your model can perform, but most of them concern combat (close or ranged). There is quite lot of it and depend on your model's base size. The rest is like in Warhammer - you test ability by rolling a dice.

Well i would say quite easy! I played two games in Telford during the first Convention. Then when I came home to Sweden I played one game against a friend of mine who doesnt play wargames much, plus he´s kinda bad at english. Still after our first match he teached the rest of our gaming club how to play.

So I would say its easy to learn, but hard to master! ;)

That's good to hear, I can play Warhammer but mastered it I have not (to many forces and choices for me to be anything more than average).

I'm more interested in the non Wargame set up so it sounds promising, thanks guys!

Hi there!

I would say it is very simple to learn, but hard to master!

But then, all games designers say that... Hmmm....

Hopefully, soon, we will be doing a series of intro videos for Warzone (and later, AvP) to get folks playing. Another good bet is getting your butt to Salute this year, chatting to us, looking at AvP prototype resin castings and play a demo game or two of Warzone! :)

We have found that after 2 turns, people are often playing the game themselves... :P
