Hey folks,

Quick question. Critical force and Critical damage, are they the same? Or are they separate rules? The rulebook is kind of confusing on this one.

Does a strength 18 attack deal 2 points of damage to vehicles? Does an anti-tank gun with critical damage deal 2 wounds to models?

I cannot tell if these are supposed to be the same rule or if they are specifically different and meant to apply to wounds and structure points respectively.

Thanks!

They are different things.

Critical force is applied to models with wounds while Critical Damage to models with structure points (Vehicles). A strength 18 hit only deals 2 wounds to troops, for istance.

Critical damage only apply to vehicles (that have structure points).

Thanks, I guess I'll have to pay a bit closer attention to who has which. I've been looking to find the distinction in the rulebook, can you tell me where it was?

Huh. That's what I thought the rulebook said, but it still seems so goofy. So the leviathan's huge S18 AVV8 cannon only does 1 point of damage to vehicles, but the "executioner ammo" in "assassin" mode does 3x damage to vehicles, and only single points of damage to models?

Can't remember the exact weapon's stats you are talking about, sorry, but yes ST18 AVV8 means it is very dangerous for troops with his high strength (and woundsx2) and "only good" against vehicles (only one structure point damage, however AVV8 is not bad at all...).
