hello
i have a small problem :]

my friend have unit of 5 capitol heavy infantry, he declare Focus Fire Squad Special Action.

so as rulebook say:

"each Squad Special Action costs 1 Action Point for
every Model in the Squad, even if some of
the Models cannot or do not participate in
the Squad Special Action."

so each of Heavy infantry model spend 1 Action Point to make special Focus Fire Action
that correct?

so, if he have only 3 models in LOS and Range to MY model (or just dont want to fire all 5 models)
CAN ANY OF THAT (dont shooting) MODELS CAN MAKE NORMAL SHOOTING ACTION to other or that same target?

so, 3 Heavy Infantry shoot as special action, and the rest 2 guys fire normal for their last action point?

AND NEXT...
if my model is targeted by Focus Fire, by 5 squad members that have him in 3 covers(-8 to BS normaly) or he is covered by 5 teren pices (so only hit on 1 on d20),
how many BS penatly they will have?

-1 for each model so -5 in total?

or -1 for each model FOR EACH cover that model have?

or generaly, do cover and theirs numbers affect that penatly somehow? or this is ALWAYS -1 BS per model ?

thanks

Yes, correct.

Il only 3 models do see target, only 3 models can shot. The others spend (lose) a shooting action and cannot shot again (only one shootin action per turn).

so, 3 Heavy Infantry shoot as special action, and the rest 2 guys fire normal for their last action point?

So no, the other 2 cannot fire.

The second one if I understand correctly your question.

thanks

thanks.

and about last Q,

if 3 from 5 Heavy Infantry have LOS blocked by ONE light cover to my Razide, they get -3 to BS test (-1 for each model)

but, what if that Razide is covered by 3 diffrent light cover? (normaly each will have 3x2=-6 BS shooting to him)
how its work vs FOCUS FIRE, still only -3 no matter how many covers he has?

and what if they shoot at him for more that 3 covers... normally only 1 on d20 hit target (without lucky shoots)

in SHOOTING SECTION about terrain and cover state:

"If the target Model is partially Covered (minimum
25% Coverage) by Terrain or the Facing
Area of an Intervening Model, the firing Model’s
RS receives a Cover Modifier as appropriate:

Light Cover (Light Terrain): -2 Modifier to RS.
Examples of this type of Cover include barbed
wire, low-lying scrub and bushes.

Heavy Cover (Heavy Terrain, intervening
Models, Impassable Terrain): -4 Modifier to RS.
Examples of this type of Cover include walls,
trees, ruins and intervening Squad members. "

FOCUS FIRE say that type of Terrain doesen't matter, there is always -1 RS for each model firing through terrain.
thats clear

BUT...

"Cover Modifiers are cumulative. As such, if
a target Model is behind Heavy Cover and
there are intervening Models in the way, it
will be very difficult to hit."

There is nowhere say that FOCUS FIRE count only ONE terrain when checking for RS penatlies,

so normal attack shooting through 2 heavy covers will gets -8 RS (-4 and -4), but FOCUS FIRE say -1 for cover no matter if it is light or heavy, so...
that should be -2 (-1 and -1) for each model firing through 2 covers?

and last note from rulebook

"A Model cannot make a Shooting Action at a
target which is behind more than 3 pieces of
Cover (including intervening Models), unless
a ‘Lucky Shot’ attempt is declared. On a D20
roll of natural 1 a Lucky Shot attempt is regarded
as a successful RS test"

how this work with FOCUS FIRE?

sorry for my english :P ;)
thx
