Hi all,

Just wanted to quickly clarify - For damaging psychic attacks, the player uses his WP instead of RS with any modifiers applied to hit. The receiving player must use their own WP instead on A to block taking damage. Now does the strength of the psychic test modify the WP of the wounded model? Can't see anywhere in the rules where it specifically says it does?

For example, if a "S/16" psychic power hit a model with a "WP/12" - does the saving throw need to be a 6 or less to stop the damaging from going through?

Thanks in advance
Pancakes

Yes it does. As per Page 66, 'a model must use its WP value for its Armour test.'

Weapon type and St modifications are contained in the Armour Test section on pp44-45. Hence, the psychic (S) attack has a St value and modifies WP as normally done with A.

Thanks heaps mate.
In regards to debuff psychic skills - Does the target of the debuff get a chance to resist the spell based of their unmodified WP, or does it work like once it is successfully cast, you dont get a chance to resist it at all, you just take the effect?
No doubt there will be more silly questions to come.
Thanks in advance

Only if the power allows a resist. Some might say that the target must take a LD, WP or some other stat test, otherwise it's simply in effect.

That it can. Fortunately they're not that common.
