Hey all,

I'm a very new player to this cracking game, so if the answer to this is obvious, please forgive.

I've gone up against a Dark Legion player who ran Golgotha. She has the 'Guide' ability. So basically, every turn one of my squads lost the ability to claim cover. So by her activation on turn 3, 3 of my squads were basically standing out in no-man's land, and there was nothing I could do about it. Game over.

Is it right that Guide means that the squad nominated cannot benefit from light and heavy cover, so a squad behind trees will not force a -2 RS mod to the enemy? And a squad behind light and heavy cover no longer incurs -6 RS to the enemy?

Also, is there any way to get rid of it, as it's pretty much a death sentence?

All abilities, unless they specifically state othewise end at the end of the turn. So it will only affect 1 unit per turn.

Other than that the only way to stop it is killing her, or getting her to spend her resources on other things

That's music to my ears, thanks! We were playing it that it carried on until the end of the game. Which was pretty horrible.

Does it say this specifically in any of the rules? If so, could you point me to where it's stated?
