Just wanted to make sure I did this right.
My Orca Aimed (1AP)
Then fired all of its weapon system (2AP)
TTB 1 to increase Autocannon RoF by 1
I then chose to fire the Autocannon first
Aimed shot hit
Str 20 (18+2 for aimed), means critical damage 4, and I choose location Body
Target failed AV roll and so it was taken out in one shot
Does that all sound right, if it's wrong can you point out how so i don't make the same mistake again.
Thanks

High strength weapons give Critical Force, which is only used against models with wounds. So the Shot would still be at Critical Damage 1 (unless the weapon normally gives higher).

Lone Mishiman has it right. Critical Force is only for targets with wounds, Critical Damage isn't tied to St or AVV- it's a special rule for some weapons only.

Ah perfect, thank you. Thought that seemed a little to easy, but is was getting late so we probably read through it to fast.

Haha yeah it's a bit goofy. Critical force and critical damage are separate.

So an aimed autocannon shot which would insta-gib a Nepharite will plink off the armor of a vehicle, and a hindenburg incinerator which would melt through a Grizzly is only a mild annoyance to troops!
