Post subject:  Impenetrable Armour vs Flamethrower

Hi, is it really so that IA against CC and RS still counts against Flamethrower? My logic was that you don't make RS test with FT so it is not RS. Thanks.

IA is just unmodifiable armour.

On p.59:
"Any Model’s Base or Footprint fully or partially within the Flamer Template receives a Wound Effect or SP Damage at the Flamer Weapon’s St or AVV."
So a model hit by a flamer receives a wound effect. That means that we go to the armour test section, on p.44.

On p.44:
look at the flowchart, in this case we start with inflicted effect (wound effect from a FT weapon). Everything after that is as normal, the St of the weapon reduces the A of the target, although it does not reduce it below half.
