the weapon packs. (note these value packs will not be available after Kickstarter, although most items will be available individually).

why is the weapon pack not here to stay prodos?
and what do you mean whit this, most items will be available individually? why most and not all?

A lot of the extras in the pack will actually also be in the plastic kits already. So not entirely necessary to keep a unique resin line open to supply them. And my guess is that the variant arms/weapons for the larger kits that are still in resin will appear as variant models to keep the overall cost of a kit down.

But the plastic kits are already going to contain a lot of new extra bits, and with the larger units that are in resin, doing them as individual variants in their own box/blister will allow Prodos to keep their price down to the current level (because they are still the same cost to produce as they used to be). Privateer press did the same thing early on, and once they were more established they made larger kits in cheaper materials with more bits and were able to keep the same price.

But these are nice for conversion fanatics looking for a few extra bits to play around with, but not something that would be especially cost effective as a general item. And of course, if Prodos have individual bits purchase for the resin kits, then it will be largely moot anyways.

But we will have to wait and see what the extras in the plastic kits and these packs contain. Because right now Prodos is only just gearing up to convert resin kits in to something that works for plastic production and that will take a lot of extra work on their part.
