So it is with a big thank you to our Cardinal level pledger, Unknown Ghost, Prodos can bring you the Free Marines of the Capitol Corporation.

These badasses are the elite of the Capitol forces, but not only that, they are all doing penance for previous significant misdemeanors. If you come across them on the battlefield run, and run fast, in the opposite direction.

These will not be 3D rendered until after the Kickstarter and are likely to be shipped in August (but we will try our best for June).

Later we will announce their special character, which is the most badass of them all and will allow FM only forces.

'Free Forever!'

I`ve been going through Free Marine Info to find the mystery man or woman as of yet, to no avail. I hope below is of some use.
Capitols Marine General was Tyson Mechuso.
Capitols Free Marines are often thought of as undisciplined rabble. The dirty dozens of the battlefield. The truth of these ultimate 'bad asses' are that they are, in fact, more akin to the British SAS of old. These specially trained Rangers must have at least two years of combat duty, during which at some time they would have received a Chairman's Legion of Honour. Unfortunately, this quality of soldier, at times, has discipline problems, and having to face a court marshall for possible unsubordination, instead they are given a second chance in the Free Marines.
In fact, the very title - Free Marines - is due to the fact that these heroic men or women work without the closeness of command and, once on a mission, are out of the loop until the end. The standard deployment of these specialists is by air or to dig in and let the enemy overrun them. Experience has shown that these totally independant troopers are the most effective when on their own.
That is the Capitol Free Marine.
Could the figure be Jake Kramer? All the best.

Unfortunately the Cardinal pledger had to back out, so this character will not be happening.

I have a feeling that we will still be able to field a force of Free Marines, cause the idea was universally liked!

We shall not forget that we already have one bad ass Free Marine hero - Big Bob Watts. In the 1st ed. all rules for free marines applied to him and he could give one extra order to all free marines within 12''

Actually the hardcore criminal thing was from the 2nd edition. In the 1st ed. they were not really criminals, just veteran heroes who had discipline problems and were facing court martial . They were tough guys, best working is small groups, they did not follow orders easily. I think Prodos is going that way.
