I just noticed that the light infantry "Fit to Purpose" frag ammo for having a close combat warlord changes the range to "ST" does this mean its based off of the models ST or the weapons ST or is it a typo?

oh that's right, how silly of me to forget lol. thanks. for some reason the "frag ammo" made me think grenades and so I thought STrength not Shotgun Template when I saw the ST. I think SG would be better for the Shotgun template shorthand to be honest especially since grenades use St to denote strength based range.

man whole squads with strength 14 shotguns... that will ruin someone's day real hard.

I know exactly what it is lighteaters statement was sufficient enough to jog my memory

I was saying that having the shorthand for the shotgun template being "ST" is confusing because "St" is the shorthand used for strength based range which combined with the "frag ammo" (which honestly sounds more like explosive ammo or ammo that fragments on impact) made me think (for some reason) of the weapon being strength based which made no sense thus my question about it.

basically I was confused because the shorthand is too similar and I think it should be changed to be more clear as to when a weapon uses the Shotgun Template as apposed to Strength

If its range is equal to Strength, the 'Type' is 'Grenade' (G).

i understand that now but its not really clear when you look at the units stat line. the fact that i as a vetreran of tabletop wargames was confused by it even momentarily indicates that it might not really be clear enough. if i had an issue with it then odds are many people new to tabletop games might as well. if the books have already gone to print then i suppose i could understand not making the change but if it hasn't i honestly think it might be worth looking into changing it

I have to admit that I had the same thoughts about this issue.
