Thanks to Prodos for publishing contents of starter box :) I am only little worried about keeping distinction between ronin and bushido. I hope that this time it means something more than bushido being idiots using only swords.

I repost my question from kickstarter: On Dakka Dakka forum there was mentioned that on Spanish Facebook some guy said that Rulebook will not include Mishima and Imperial. Is it some translation error or it is true? I hope for the former. I could understand lack of minis but not lack of unit stats.
Now some pledger said that rulebook will include only unlocked units. It makes no sense. Why some armies would have more options than others only because kickstarter? Please give official answer here or on kickstarter site.

The rulebook will only contain the rules for the unlocked units.

Quite simply, because it will serve as a rulebook. AFAIK, Prodos has a 3 year plan, and it involves lots of interesting ideas, I am sure.

Writers cost money and it takes time. Previous versions of the game were stunted for background, you had to rely on the RPG for that. That is simply not the case with WZR, each unit is going to have a fully explained and expanded background, completely re-written, but sticking to the original Canon from the Mutant Chronicles RPG and all the previous versions of Warzone. Though, some things are being 'left out' (for example, a lot of units in UWZ were just repetitions of the same unit, with a different colour scheme or using an older model, to sell more stuff).

Having everything in it, in full colour, expanded with the Prodos way in mind, would simply be impossible.

Rob: I donot want to have 'everything'. I just think that it would make sense to have identical list for all forces = same number of troops/elites/walkers/monsters/heroes etc. If you are right then it makes for really unbalanced game when some armies have more toys and some like Imperial nothing. Having no minis is one thing, having no army list is BIG disadventage.

Not at all, all the armies will be balanced. Besides, things that don't quite make the rulebook will be released with stat cards, containing all the required info.

It is still annoying that not every faction is treated the same. Fans of Mishima and Imperial could play this game with their old minis or use proxies waiting for new sculpts but they will not because there is no army list for their corps. So they will have to wait for [and buy] another book.

I understand the frustration, but I think Prodos have plenty on their plate already. With designing, balancing and releasing the current list of KS miniatures and make anywhere near their projected June release date.
