Oh dear, is this turning into a second Alakhai-topic?

Who cares about the beastie...as long it's a cool designed monster: awesome. Never knew Warzone players were buttoncounters.

I care because Mishima is and always was my favourite from MC/WZ and I donot think it needed your 'cool designed monster'.

Well using that argument, we had better delete most of what we have the humans doing in Warzone. Oh and obviously same with ALL the forces of Legion

Again, I completely agree with Rob and Mark.

There are so many things fantasy in MC, why bother much with a pseudo-saurian/-amphibian ravener?

And as Vaydon Kyll already suggested somewhere in this thread, nobody is forced to field units they don't linke.
For example, a Cybertronic player I know doesn't like the idea of close combat Chasseurs (I actually don't understand him here) - and he just won't buy or field Mirrormen. For him, the problem is solved. :)

Could you be more specific? I see no relations between my statesmen about page 9 concept art. and yours above.

Pride the clever dog
Bobs Guns
Angelikas Whip
Icarus (cant fly)
Purple Sharks
Grizzlys (tracks wouldnt work)
All AI in Cybertronic

All above are more likely than page 9 silly thing. I only wanted to help create believable animal for my army [like MC beasts, Hinko dragon etc.] if there really must be one. But ok I see that reasonable arguments are worth less than fanboy enthusiasm. I am done with this topic.

so for Mishima for example, from those now released you could have

Ronin
Hiroko
Nozaki (but with only 1 eye)

Obviously assuming of course they were in space suits able to cope with the forces of living fighting on the Moon, Mars and Venus and at those planets natural gravity.

You couldnt have
Living on Mercury
Meka
Hatomoto

or from the wider fluff
Dragon Bikes
Crimson devils (armour and surgically attached masks wouldnt work)
Demon Hunters
Suicide squads (robots)

And obviously no Ki

And their guns would be rubbish and their swords good at best (no energised blades)

No need to throw in the towel like that.
Btw, there was/is no fanboy enthusiasm on my side, I just can relate to the reasoning of the developers - who btw presented reasonable arguments as well. So please don't fall to that niveau where everybody who doesn't agree to some criticism against some product of some company gets labeled as fanboy.

Also no fanboyism from my side. But it just seems silly to be strict about this whole thing in a space opera setting. Because that's what Warzone/MC is: Nepharites, Rams Air Cavalry, Orca battlesuits, Wolfbanes, Samurai in space, etc.

Hells bells guys make a chap feel guilty, when I asked about the Creature in the Mishima book I just wondered if it was a new render of an old friend, often used by us but always scratch built. Well now I know, sorry Prodos, heck that was a good question, and the fluff > "I should have used my own". The creature was known as the manta of the skys, gliding through the air with ease, as the manta of the ocean flies through the sea with graceful turns and effortless glides. Shadow walker my mate I hope I know where you are coming from , but I kind of think that when man (Bauhaus) forced engineered Venus any type of large creature could be created, hence the dinasaurs. I suppose that a logical chain of thought is that Mashima with a fondness of dragons, could create either in a lab or from a near creature, the beast from page 9. Either way, I hope the journey has been interesting and not too strenuous for all. Just remember, we still didn't get a devil bat. Cheers all.
