After more than a Year, I finaly started to paint my Capitolian troops from the kisckstarter campagn.

Here are my five first members of the light infantery from the "Red Dust Grunts". They are a kind of a prototype for me and I don't know if the next miniatures will be painted exactly the same because I am not tottaly satisfied with the result. I should have been more careful on the details and there are maybe to much orange in the end.

The idea was to build a force who is supposed to operate in the red Great Rust Desert of Mars, more precisely around the Saladin Citadel. I choose the color acording to this backgroud : orange so they can't be easily spotted in the desert.

So what do you think ? How can I improve that ?

Well, they made me say out loud 'wow they're nice!'. :)

Very good work, I'm excited to see the rest of the army.

Thank you for the kind comments.

Some people on another forum told me to attract more attention of the spectator with more attractif color on the gun.

I was also told to use a darker color for the trousers, in order to underlin the rest of the miniature. I think I will follow those advices.

It has been a long time since my last posting.

Here are my Martian Banshee. I changed a little bit the color Scheme, and I think I will stick to it from now on.

One of those day I will know how to paint properly a humain face, and this day, I will rework this poor captain. But for now this will do the job.

My next minis : a Airborn cavalry Squad.

Really nice colour scheme and very well done. =)

I never paint eyes on my miniatures for two reasons, the first being that I'm horrible at it and secondly that the scale of the miniatures are roughly the same as if you would see a person some 50 metres away and at that distance you wouldn't quite see their eyes anyway. I just use a wash to accentuate the place where their eyes would be. The same goes for lips. Yes, Caucasian lips are darker than the surrounding tissue, but unless the person was wearing lipstick, you wouldn't see it at a distance of 50 metres.
