Ok so I've started work on my necromutant that I picked up at the weekend :)

The figure went together nicely except I'm struggling a little with the gun which will need a little work. The figure had very little flash on it although there was a slight misalignment in the casting of one foot which also needed a little work. This resulted in the slightly skinny ankle you can see in the pic but otherwise was fine! Alex's figure didn't have this and you have to remember these figures were test runs (hence only be 10 of them) not final production figures so you have to expect a little leniency.
The detail on the figure is incredible and rather fun to paint. So anyway... enough babbling see what you think! (Not sure my paint job stands up brilliantly to the extreme close-ups but hey) :P
Please note this is still a WIP and not finished! (Hence no gun for a start!) ;)

Your painting is really good, and I must say I really love the details on the mini.

You are obviously no true servant of our dark lord rob. There is never enough devotion.

The final piece (apart from a little matt and gloss varnishing);

You may be able to just make out (particularly in the second pic on his biceps) that I turned the symbols into scars. These are all over his body :)

And for those of you that were at Grumpy, I've FINALLY finished the black templar;

Nice well finished figure, did that base come with it, when they say over sized I take it that they were first runs? not for the game, brilliant to have though. Your Black templer is a good show of finishing in Black, well done.

Thank you! Rather pleased with this one, also happy to say it's better in real life when not quite so 'zoomed in'!

Mark forgot the bases so we had to get our own (oh the travesty!), I made this one from scratch. It's all done on a 40mm clear acrylic disk to make the water more 'watery'.

There are only 10 in the world so I assume this was indeed a first run that was quickly realised to be wrong. They are indeed an awesome thing to have, I'm very lucky! As it's on a 40mm base it can be used as a 'DIY' hero for Dark Legion with no issues but is it a standard necromutant? I'd have to say no :)
