Of course he would it'd place him in the perfect position to shoot them in the back once their common enemy was dealt with and take their resources... in the name of the cardinal of course. Do not mistake Imperial's piousness when it comes to Cybertronic as anything more than an excuse to pick on the only corporation smaller than they are.
