so rather than being two big blokes in tights...

Image

this is my Legion...

So the cannon fodder,

then the pretty boys, just need to get some pics of them based,

unit leaders

Image

onto the stalkers, lovely models really enjoyed painting these,

Image

then tag team Razman

Image

out of all the models the razman were the hardest to paint due to the skin, but after some faffing about I'm very happy with these guys,

just a few bits left and then I'll be onto the cybertronic!

Rob I simply used my old deathguard recipe that I found years ago,

the names of the paints have changed but the technique works superb,

1. Basecoat of Chaos Black spray

2. Paint them all with Gretchin Green Foundation Paint

3. Heavy drybrush of Rotten Flesh

4. Paint small details like worms and fleshy bits with Tanned flesh

5. Highlight the Tanned Flesh areas with Dwarf Flesh

6. Paint, teeth and claws with Bleached Bone

7. Paint metal with Bolt Gun Metal

8. Paint any woden areas with Khemri Brown Foundation Paint

9. Devil Mud wash the entire model or army painter stong tone wash

10. Once the previous wash is dry, give the model a second wash but of Gryphonne Sepia this time or army painter soft tone wash

10A (optional) relightlight some areas of the model to if you think its too dark,

11. Base the model

12. Done

for the stalkers it was even easier....

russain green base coat

stipple/sponge brassy brass over the top

boltgun type metal stipple/sponge over the brassy brass

do the other bits skin gun etc,

army painter soft tone wash,

purple ink in the rune bits

sorted!

damn it, wrote a long reply, then got logged out and it´s gone.

short version:

I really like the models, especially the armor and weapons! Good work on the Razides, too!

Here comes the train with constructive criticism :-)
a) The Necromutant leaders look totally unfinished. Apart from the obvious base, one is missing a painted chain on his skirt. The left belt buckle doesnt look painted (its still green) and he has flesh painted on his skirt. The right one has flesh painted on his left hand bandages. The faces and muscles could use a last layer of paint (highlights).
b) The purple things on all weapons dont look highlighted at all. This gives them a strange look as the rest is totally weathered.
c) The belts on all Necromutants look unfinished somehow.
d) Not your doing, but: Do the Stalkers REALLY have arms that long? They could scratch the bottom of their feet while standing tall. Looks apish somehow
e) All in all, your army looks very uniform - which is normally a good thing. Only here nothing except the Razides really stands out. I dont really know what and if I am going to do different once I get my stuff (end of next week it should be packed and on its way). I feel the Necrobeast riders and the Lords could be a chance to bring more colour to the army.

But, all in all: good job and overall appearance.

Whe I`m allowed to enjoy mine , I think the Necro Beast Riders are crying out for a banner, flag or standard, perhaps garnished with an head. What "re-con" Dunnagh.
Cheers all.

cheers for the feedback fella,

the chain I picked up when basing but the skin on the belt I miss, and I've also finished off the purple, it was a base coat to see how they looked togeather, but I'm not fussed about the weathering on the pipes.

The skin I see what you mean, however I want a dark dirty look to the army, the belts reminded me of judge dredd hence the simple green colour,
