I'm just using Proxy models... ones that we can say these represent this option, etc.

Are there any Alien/Predator/Marine model sellers in Europe that we could use that have these models in acceptable scale?

Perhaps not best discussed on the official forum.
For the time being you could always use an appropriate sized base with a simple printed piece of card as a proxie. Given its only temporary.

So, as an owner of the standard retail version of the game (3 Predators, 5 Colonial Marines and 15 Aliens) there is no "legal/official" way for me to expand my model collection at the moment, is that correct?

You can buy another box set as many of us have done. But yes, at the moment we are in limbo regarding new models.

Obviously there are certain models which are about right that you can use (horror clix AvP are oversized but not ludicrously so for instance)
I've also got a queen taken from a powerloader vs queen diorama which is about the right size.
TBH though getting these proxies will cost about as much as the officials will, and they arnt as detailed and have minor scale issues.

There is a complete range of miniatures from Leading Edge back in the 90s.
And there are a bunch of models from Horror-Clicks.
I wouldn't call them proxies, because these are official miniatures licensed from Fox.



Seriously? In this case you should leave AVP immediately. I played 4 games and intensively discussed the rules on two forums, on facebook and at the table with various players. The rules are unclear and not solid and the scenarios are unbalanced. It is so bad, I will leave it after the next game (which was fixed before my decission to leave).
