good to see that people are going to try new things

sometimes games get played for a while and then put away for far too long becasue you get used to playing a set way, or the outcomes get too predictable for one side or the other

introducing new rules or varying them slightly can re-ignite interest again

we do this all the time at the club i go to, along with converting one rule set to play a different period, like using a Lion rampant variant to play with LOTR figures

Thanks a lot! I'll try to use them asap. Don't have a painted grid on avp board...still trying to think a way to have it without marking permanently on them ^^U

I do understand your concerns, because I had them, too.
But after painting the grid, I'm totally content because it doesn't look unnatural.
You can still play on the grid side without using the grid and it works out just as well.

HOW DARE YOU COMMENT ON A POST THAT HAS BEEN DEAD FOR A MONTH!!!

thats just ridiculous that dude would say that.
This forum is dead and I would love it not to be
The only info I see is negative from facebook and it gets annoying and pisses me off

So keep posting phoenix no matter what cuz somebody is looking at it (like myself)

Totally cool! I'm new to the game (like, bought it two days ago) and the forums so the older posts (and their belated responses) are a valuable resource to noobs such as myself. ;)

Phoenixman, thanks for the idea of using derived rules.
Indeed my friends and I now often play with AVP miniatures and the floor plans but we use SpaceHulk rules instead of the original ones.
I wrote a set of rules of about 10 pages in English language where all the AVP minis and weapons are included for the SH set of rules.
If someone is interested in that rules, he can drop me his mailadress and I send the pdf-file.

If you're still offering, I'd like to get a copy of the SH set, too! I'm at wehaveissuespub@yahoo.com (I'd PM, but I've not been on here long enough to be able to send PMs yet...)
