No offence but I would be much happier if everything post Alien3 was ignored as source material entirely.

For a start the AvP xenomorphs reach adulthood (from being laid, to facehugging, to bursting, to molting into full sized drones) in roughly 30mins. That is just foolishness.

Unless I interprited it wrong, the licence not being for 3 or any after. The only material used will relate to 1,2, old comics books and games. Do you "Spray" like myself feel a touch of let down after "2", some of the items of none film were better, in my mind.
Cheers all.

I actually really like Alien3 (at least the assembly cut). I do think the liscence does include the AvP films, much as I dislike them... Otherwise it would seem rather odd that the Infant has the Alien:Res/AvP legs.

The Infant Alien definitively has AvP legs, the A:R ones were digitigrade. The first draft we saw for the Warrior was also based on AvP:Requiem (although it seems to have been replaced entirely now), the Predalien is rather obviously based on the film design too, as opposed to any of the comic or game versions of it.

For what it's worth, this is the licensing info on some of the early promo pics for this:

talking about the films after alien 3 being poor.. I think alien resurrection was a decent film to be honest.great characters and great setting..definitely room for a predator or two to run around on the Auriga. [do I smell a scenario/campaign mod here?]...what really let this film down was the damn baby alien...as I said on another post somewhere.."when the audience starts laughing in an alien movie its wrong...yes,theres the odd quote in the films which we all laugh at...but that part of the film.which,up until then had been a good movie..totally destroyed it..but theres lots in there to use for this game I believe

ps avp 2 couldn't really say if it was a good or bad movie...couldn't see a lot of it...far too dark..some of the worst film making ive ever seen.

I think 3 is part of the deal...isn't the stalker alien based on the alien in alien 3?

According to one of the early press releases it's actually based on the 'Stalker' from one of the old sidescroller games. It's largely the same but in the game all the beasties (of many weird and wonderful shapes and sizes) are spawned from humans.
