Thanks for the replies, all.

Airborne - yep, the idea is to do it 100% as textured surface, based on that 12"x12" tile I have been working on.

Harec - the tit is the outside of the structure, you can't see it from inside. :D

Lumberjack - I wish the camera hadn't cut off the labels! Point six is a "dish" for the Queen and maybe one day an egg sac to occupy. Point five however, contains a small dome that I was planning on using Gigers boob-temple as a reference for.

Nice, that is some planning for a board reminds me of a trench board we had at work. Unlike me who went hmm grass yep that's good oh oh trees too :S

Pictures of this please maybe even wip with tutorial bits for the more aXeno loving members of the forum?

Sure is. I recommend the kits. Plan is, take this thing to a full 8x4 table, with a simplified version of the hive I previously sketched incorporated, and a "planet surface" section with plenty of snipers' nests and low cover.

Oh that soudns good, I have been toying with using their kits myself but I would liek to go with a zone mortalis concept allowing me to make new tiles when I need them.

Yhis is definetly something for me to keep track off, might be more usefull inspiration for me to work with.
