Seeing the converted Genestelers of Spiers I reminisced about our old games and the fun we had in the past with Leading Edge`s Aliens. As our old kit is now dated and has been damaged over the years it is now being refurbished. Although Leading Edge made many figures for Aliens, the size was very small, costs dear and the availability scarce. When I eventually managed to collect the main Protaganists, I found that they didn't mix very well with other manufactures' figures. The marines, although well made, were missing all of their tactical kit, (many years later I found out that the sculpture had been given actual armour as well as photographs to work with and, sadly, the lights and equipment webbings were missing). I enclose along with this some photos of the various figures that we used in our Alien games. Some like the Kryomek marines have still stood the passage of time along with the magnificent Star Beasts, which were in kit form. The corridor sections are from a very old friends Company, Ainsty Castings, and were the 'bees knees' of versatility at our time. The final photo, the Croyo Chamber is Ainsty Castings and the victim came with one of the APCs. Cheers all.

Cheers Speirs, Kryomek was a killer simple game, had a real good range of great creatures and humans. Remember the convict squads and those huge robots, at the time I was in heaven with the games we had. Ainsty made so many cool accessories as well as the ones included in the game. Aliens long before Aliens. Cheers all.
