Bought a few days ago on the German games fair in Essen.
No problems with gluing. Very good fit. Parts precise and clean.
Heated tail with lighter to bend for more dynamic look. Accidentally caught fire for a second.
Sculpted hive pattern on 40mm base with milliput. Hope it looks better if painted.

It is already, You can use milliput, the only thing you need is a ball-end tool. ;)

As you ahve a queen and you are here.

Would it e posible for you to post the measurements of the queen? I am specially interested in the legs.

I am just planning to modelate an ovipositor and maybe I can beging with that ;)

As much measurements as you can :P

Nice tutorial! I got two of those round tools. So next time I will try that.
For now I will go with the base I have. It looks okay with paint on it.

Here is my finished Queen.
Surely not the most impressive model, but worldwide a very early painted one. :)

Hight without base is 76 mm.
Head length is 40 mm.
Head width is 25 mm.
Leg length is 45 and 50 mm.
Tail length about 75 mm.
Arms (both bowed 120°) about 35 mm.
