And there we go, first game on Vassal done, played vs Michael Sanders aka the Blue Shark.
500pts Brotherhood vs 500pts of Capitol.
Armylists were:

Laura with Might of Reckoning and Fortitude of the Penitent
5 Troopers including 2 Scopes with Ascent of the Ruby Light
5 Valkyries with Flamer and Cardinals Crimson Admonition
5 Valkyries with Flamer and Ascent of the Ruby Light
Inquisitor with Emerald Bastion
Inquisitor with Emerald Bastion

Custom Ranged Warlord (Dunno what he had except 4 wounds, he kinda ended up dead before performing anything )
5 Heavy Infantry
5 Banshees with a medic
2 Purple Sharks

Sadly I didn't save pictures from all turns, so I can't really show much, but the first turn was just spent maneuvering until the end when the Banshees appeared and wiped out 3 of the Troopers, but they had Call for Glory played on them, which reduced them down to 2 models in the Control Phase. Then the Valkyries arrived and killed all but one of the Heavy Infantry and wounded the Capitol Warlord 3 times in melee.

On the second turn the Sharks moved in to kill the squad of Valkyries that were engaged to the Heavy Infantry and Warlord, using Peppershot and Take this I think it was to gain 8 shots per Shark with shotgun templates.
This resulted in 5 very dead Valkyries and 2 dead Capitol models.
Then I failed to kill the Banshees and they charged the Inquisitor in the back and murdered him, but the Brotherhood got their revenge when Laura charged into the two Banshees with Might of Reckoning activated.

Then it was time for the third turn. This saw the sharks just plain wipe out the last Valkyrie Squad and then continue on upwards toward the Brotherhood deployment zone. The Brotherhood hid in their forests waiting for a better moment to strike in the meantime.

Fourth turn saw the Sharks kill the last Inquisitor even though he was on Sentinel duty. then Laura charged out of the woods whilst the Troopers went on and tried hopelessly to see if the Marker that was the furthest away from the Sharks were the real secondary objective, sadly it wasn't.

Fifth turn, Capitol won the initiative and proceeded to gun down Laura, teaching her that 12 shots hurt even if you have A17 IA12.

Sixth turn, The Sharks advance upon the hapless Troopers, but one of them peeks out of the woods and turns to burn on and so that he can aim his Ascent of the Ruby Light. It hits a Shark in the engines, and it explodes in a fiery blaze and damages the second Shark in it's engines.
The Squadron Commander of the Shark squad retaliates with a hail of furious bullets and kills the poor Trooper.
seventh turn, Brootherhood wins initiative and peeks out with their last model, and turns to burn to once again Aim with Ascent of Ruby Light, hitting the Shark in the engines and blowing it out of the air.

Thus ends this purge, the heretics were slain, albeit at great cost to the Brotherhood.
Was a fun game, cards added a few extra dimensions (though Peppershots do really hurt.)

I'm very sorry to inform you that you can Aim with Psychic powers, so all the perfect shoots with Ruby light could have missed or caused less damage

Yes you're right, we weren't playing that right. But they wouldn't have missed, since we didn't count the +2 bonus, but they might not have hit the engines both times. Then again, almost any result would have counted on the sharks imo, so I don't think it influenced too much.
