We played a big 4 player game of Warzone last Friday (Bauhaus, Brotherhood, Dark Legion and Mishima / 1000 points each). Here is the AAR:

Yeah the next one. Thanks a lot. Warzone seems to be a really bloody game  .

You are welcome!

I think this one was made especially bloody by the fact that we essentially played a 2000pts game and that the Bauhaus / Brotherhood team made a fine job of concentrating their fire.

We spend 6 hours, but this included set-up and removal of the minis before and after the game, chatting, rolling for scenarios and the usual rules discussions. We only played about 1 ½ rounds, but it was clear how things were going so I think it would only have taken another hour at most to get a definitive result!

We played a self made scenario 800 points and 6 rounds.

Hmm, that seems fairly long then!

We were surprised too.
The 12 h included the set up off the table. A little bit small talk in the beginning.
Deployment. A little bit more double checking rules and special abilities and 6 rounds of a thrilling game and a 35 minutes dinner break and excluding the cleaning up afterwards.
The three first rounds Mishima was ahead of us. Then Capitol and Cybertronic were almost equal leading with Cybertronic in a lead and in the final one and a half round Capitol took over.
And when you think about 6 h for the fist 1,5 rounds and 12 h for 6 rounds kind of match together.
We experienced that in the earlier versions already too.
A multiple player game takes much longer than a 2 player game.

It worked out Ok for us I think. Subsequent rounds would have been ever faster. The first took the longest, with the (half) second one only taking a fraction of the time of the first (taking into account that we only got half way through it).

What might have helped us, is that we played in clear teams of two instead of a free for all. We also first rolled for initiative within a team (say 1st Team: Player A followed by Player B and 2nd Team: Player 1 followed by Player 2) then we rolled for the general initiative. So it was always A, 1, B, 2, A, 1, B, 2... in round one and 2, A, 1, B, 2, A, 1, B in round two.
We also used the same order when determining who was allowed to play a Strategy, Tactical or Gear card. Does not sound like much, but it really helped the flow of the game.
