Thanks for the feedback guys. I think i will go back and address the guns. The flesh tone, eh, I never was very good at that. I have to water down brown paint to wash it and they dry brush other it with the flesh again. It never comes out right. and the face, forget it, I had to get glasses to do this, I still can't see well enough to do the eyes and such, though I wish I could.
And the camo, is easy as can be

It all depends on whether you are going for the collectors quality painting or just to game with them I always use the at full arms length check, hold them at arms length or put them on the table and if YOU are happy with them and think they look great on the table that's all that matters.
I'd sooner play someone who is fun and try's to paint his armies to his painting level rather than someone who has great looking minis (or even the unpainted grey armies) but is no fun to play the game with.
Also when you photograph minis close up they never really look as good as when they are in the flesh on the table in front of you as the pictures tend to show you all the flaws but, you can use this to your advantage as I do I take a picture and look at it on the computer and sometimes you can see something you've missed.
If you have a look at the two painting threads I did a while ago you can see what I mean about tabletop quality/quantity rather than "Golden Demon" quality. Both are not as good on screen as in the flesh and not as good as a lot of the painting you will see on here but they look great on the table, to me anyhow.
